C+G At Home With: Hayley Jenkin
At Carlotta + Gee, we love a home that tells a story – and Hayley Jenkin’s Oxleigh House does just that. The creative force behind Wholehearted Studio, Hayley is known for her layered, light-filled styling that feels at once nostalgic and fresh.

From her Sunshine Coast studio to her lovingly restored 1930s Queenslander and dream home, Oxleigh House, every space she touches is personal, expressive and full of heart.
We recently worked with Hayley on a shoot at home, where she styled our linen alongside Sleeping Giant’s latest bedroom pieces. With C+G favourites like Yellow Stripe and Pinot Gingham layered into this dreamy bedroom scene, the result was a masterclass in character-rich, easygoing styling. A direct reflection of Hayley’s personality and lifestyle.

We caught up with Hayley to talk about her creative path, what she’s loving in interiors right now, and why linen has become a staple in both her shoots and her sleep routine.
Hayley, we love your vibe and everything to do with Wholehearted Studio - tell us your background?
Thank you! I grew up here on the coast and spent most of my childhood and teenage years working on my parents’ farm. From a young age, I learned the importance of supporting local growers and businesses — something that still shapes who I am today. I went on to become a school teacher and started Wholehearted Studio while on maternity leave, hoping to create a more creative and flexible work-life balance with a young baby in tow.
We love that you are a linen lover and we work with you a lot - what are your favourite combinations of Carlotta + Gee?
This is such a hard question because I genuinely love everything you make! But I think my favourite combinations are Olive Green Check and Blush Pink, Pinot Gingham and Yellow Stripe, and — for a sweet little girl’s room — I love the Double-Sided Quilted Bedcover in Lavender Check/Violet paired with the Vintage Pink sheets and pillows.

Tell us about this recent project you have worked on?
I recently worked on a room restyle and a shoot for Sleeping Giant Australia, and I selected Carlotta + Gee bed linen to style the bed. I wanted to highlight how using sheets from an Australian independent brand can completely transform a space or piece of furniture and create a unique look and feel.

What do you love about linen?
When I was younger I used to be a bit of a minimalist – I only owned one cotton sheet set that my mum had bought me on sale! It was all I’d ever known. Then I worked on a shoot featuring linen sheets, ended up buying them afterwards, and I’ve never looked back. I love their thickness and weight. In winter, they keep me warm, and in summer, they keep me cool. I honestly feel like I sleep better now that I have my Carlotta + Gee sheets. I love the texture of linen and how it translates to camera on shoots too.
In 2026 what should be looking out for in terms of homeware trends?
In 2026, we’ll see more silver and chrome finishes making a comeback. Expect a shift toward more colourful, layered and curated interiors. The all-beige aesthetic will be challenged by bolder, more creative styles. The trend of choosing quality over quantity will keep growing, and I’m predicting that the rodeo/western influence we’re seeing in art and fashion will stick around into early 2026 too.
