Bathed in both light and colour, we absolutely love this heritage Northcote home, designed by Cantilever. These sustainably minded, clever designers chose C+G bed and table linens to accent and complement their beautiful bespoke joinery (a Cantilever signature) throughout the entire home. The result is a richly detailed, cohesive space that feels layered, explorative and playful. In the bedroom, our 100% pure French linen in Chocolate lends a rich depth to the calm escape, while in the dining room, it’s our double-sided Canteloupe linen’s time to shine on the expansive dining table, featuring a layer each of Sangria and Marmalade.
Here’s our chat with Kylie Forbes, Creative Director at Cantilever Interiors, on the pleasures of working on a unique, colour-filled project such as Full Circle House from start to finish, and her design choices that make the final result so impactful.
We were thrilled to be involved in the Full Circle Project in Northcote, Melbourne - Can you tell us a little about the project and the story behind it?
Shaped over two phases, stage one of this project encompassed a rear renovation of Kitchen, Laundry and open-plan Living and Dining. Returning to Cantilever to complete the refurbishment of bathrooms, bedrooms, formal living and entrance, allowed a cohesion of aesthetic, design language and quality of execution through our Joinery and Interiors work.
It’s a study in colour confidence, and the value of a patient's vision.

Your choices for both the bedding and napery linens were stunning - how did you decide on this aesthetic?
Thank you! The array of colour this project harnessed created space for deep tones, and bright ones, to accentuate each other. The C+G Chocolate Linen sheet set is a favourite for offering the richness of tone, easily celebrating adjacent tones.
What was it about Carlotta + Gee linen that felt like the right fit for this project? We love that you’re passionate about sustainability, too.

The natural lighting in this project is beautiful; did it influence or change any of your design decisions?
The way light moves across a home is always a consideration. We enjoy encouraging deeper tones into spaces without access to direct bright daylight, as a way of increasing a shift in mood across a home.
What projects are you working on next?
We are enjoying working with our array of clients, every project unique, as much as the home it sits within.
